Ecological and Quality Policies

The competitive edge of the production and its conformity to the international requirements are the priority directions of SITRONICS Microelectronics. The enterprises of business-division SITRONICS Microelectronics have and maintain the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system. JSC Mikron is the unique Russian manufacturer of microelectronics certified according to the ISO14000 international ecological standard.

To ensure products’ competitive advantage and their compliance with global standards, the plants of business direction SITRONICS Microelectronics – JSC Mikron, VSP-Mikron, SITRONICS Smart Technologies – have implemented and support the quality management system complying with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000. The system was certified for compliance with requirements of this standard by one of the leading independent bodies – Bureau Veritas Certification.

In 2005-2007, customers of VSP-Mikron products from South-Eastern Asia and Western Europe carried out five audit checks of the company’s quality management system for compliance with requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and its own company standards. At present, VSP-Mikron is reworking the said System in order to bring it into compliance with requirements of ISO/TS 16 949:2002 “Specific Requirements to Using ISO 9001:2000 in Car Industry and Organizations Producing the Relevant Spare Parts”. The planned period of System certification as per ISO/TS 16 949:2002 is the IV quarter of 2010.

SITRONICS Smart Technologies, thanks to the safety system effective at the enterprise, guarantees to clients complete protection of confidential data at card issue. Company’s production areas have video surveillance systems. The safety system monitors the information flows, equipments and company’s employees. Monitoring is performed as per the internal safety standards of the company and clients, as well as with involvement of external audit.

Environmental Policy

In 2008, the parent enterprise of SITRONICS Microelectronics, JSC Mikron, was the first among Russian microelectronics manufacturers to certify its production according to the Environmental Management Standard 14001.

In 2009, VSP-Mikron started preparing for certification of the environmental management system for compliance with requirements of ISO 14001:2004. The planned period of System certification for compliance with requirements of ISO 14001:2004 is the IV quarter of 2010.
