Professional Development

Training

JSC Mikron provides employee training in the following areas:

  • • profession mastering when hiring a new employee or employee transfer to another operation (training and additional training courses);
  • • skill category increase – for workers, advanced training – for specialists (extension courses);
  • • workers’ and specialists’ mastery of new technologies, equipment, hard- and software (purpose-oriented courses);

• education of workers and specialists.

Profession Mastery

Mastery of a new profession is regulated by the Apprenticeship agreement between the worker and the enterprise, according to which:

  • • theoretical training is performed by enterprises’ instructors (60-90 hours) and training at the work place under the supervision of a training specialist for 2-4 months with subsequent certification and skill category assignment;

• during the whole training period the worker gets an allowance (about 200$ usd), and salary accounting is also performed in accordance with the volume and scope of work performed.

Extension Courses

Advanced training (increasing the volume of basic knowledge, skills and qualifications in the chosen profession) is performed:

  • • for workers at extension courses, which include a theoretical training programme and training at the work place under the supervision of qualified instructors with subsequent certification and assignment of the next skill category;

• for specialists, extension courses include one of the following programmes:

  • 1. Training in theoretical programmes by instructors from among the enterprise’s leading specialists or by teachers from educational institutions;
  • 2. Sending of a specialist to an educational institution for training in the approved programme;
  • 3. Probation in foreign companies. In case of production need, specialists study a foreign language with invited native teachers.

• for young specialists who successfully perform their job functions, a career development and purpose-oriented training program may be developed for advanced training in specific professional and management area of activity, including foreign language teaching.

Purpose-Oriented Courses

Training of specialists and workers at purpose-oriented courses is performed similarly to training at extension courses according to programs aimed at mastery of new technologies, equipment, hard- and software.

Education

JSC Mikron pays considerable attention to sending its workers for training to secondary professional and higher educational institutions with the enterprise paying for training (Electronics and Informatics college, MIET). Young specialists who showed themselves to good advantage are sent for postgraduate training (MIET, MSU).
